Dutch antique Bone Chess Set with interesting antique Chessboard – ca. 1780 – 1800

One side stained brown, the other side left natural. The knights as as attractive slender horses, and towers as castle towers. The tops of the towers and of the bishops with color accents from the opposite side. King and Queen finely carved as monarchs, pawns with baluster knops.

Height of the King: 8,5  cm

The board has a Nine Men’s Morris top on one side and a Chessboard top on the other side. Backgammon lined with felt in the middle. The board is a mix of rosewood, satinwood and bird eyes maple. Wonderful floral inlaid work with a bulbous frame and matching key. Epoch William IV ca. 1830
